Details
LEK-203 Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer (slump retaining) is a new type of polycarboxylate superplasticizer composed of the new polycarboxylate superplasticizer mother liquor developed by Luckerkong Biotech Co., LTD. and imported related additives. The synthesis process of the mother liquor has technical cooperation with the upstream polyether manufacturers, developed a new catalyst and control system with scientifically designed molecular structure.
To meet different customer needs, Luckerkong has designed and developed a new type of polycarboxylate-based superplasticizer (slump retaining) with the ability to retain slump while also having certain dispersibility. This design is based on principles of slump loss in freshly mixed concrete, drawing from both post-addition methods of superplasticizers and research on reactive polymers. The approach involves changing the adsorption behavior of admixtures and designing a polymer structure accordingly. This product has a chemical structure similar to graft copolymer admixtures but with longer graft side chains, lower carboxyl group ratios, and ester cross-linking points in the copolymer structure.
The long polyethylene glycol side chains in the copolymer molecules provide steric hindrance effects, slowing down the physical aggregation of cement particles. A small amount of polymer adsorbed at the cement-water interface provides a certain level of dispersibility. The ester cross-linking points in the copolymer molecules hydrolyze in the alkaline cement medium, gradually releasing low molecular weight copolymers with dispersing functionality into the cement-water system. This supplementation compensates for the consumption of superplasticizer due to C3A and C4AF, maintaining the superplasticizer in a critical micelle state and preventing significant slump loss.
Performance Characteristics:
(1) No slump loss after 1 hour, over 80% of the initial slump retained after 2 hours, effectively solving the issue of rapid slump loss in concrete and meeting slump retention requirements under special conditions.
(2) Excellent working performance of concrete, high fluidity, easy pouring and compacting, effectively reducing the viscosity of concrete, suitable for pumping.
(3) Environmentally friendly, no waste water, waste gas, waste residue generated during the production process.
(4) Wide adaptability to Portland cement, ordinary Portland cement, slag Portland cement, fly ash cement, volcanic ash cement, and various types of admixtures.
Usage Guidelines:
(1) Recommended dosage for experimentation is 0.5% - 1.0% (by weight of cementitious material), the optimal dosage should be determined through testing based on the characteristics of cement, aggregates, etc.
(2) The superplasticizer can be dissolved in water and compounded with other additives, or directly added to concrete for mixing. Recommended to add it after compounding.
(3) Can be used in combination with various retarders and slump retention agents, not recommended to be mixed with fatty acids, naphthalene-based, amino-based, or ion-based additives to avoid affecting performance.
(4) Our technical team provides on-site guidance for proper usage and compounding.
